A setting to prevent all users from messaging you

I’m sure we all have had this issue before people we don’t know keep sending us messages on steam that are obviously scams or ads for something. Steam doesn’t have a setting to prevent any users who aren’t your friends from messaging you my suggestion is as simple as that a setting that lets you set who can message you on steam chat.

you are a member of scam groups or groups that get spammed. leave the groups.

Leave the terrible groups youre in. The messages will stop.

That was their way of just getting you to stop bothering them with stuff they don’t deal with
