SteamOS Linux Proton
Valve has decided to compete with Microsoft. However, its methods are peculiar.
When you have Windows Spyware installed, Microsoft knows everything about you - your hardware and software, what you're doing on your computer, and what networks you connect to. But if you're using Steam, Valve doesn't know anything about you. That's why their support has to ask for your OS version - they'd prefer not to even bring up Proton. Valve has no way of knowing if a game launched successfully, what software/hardware version you're running, or what your settings are. If you want to compete with M$, you need to rethink your methods. It's essential to analyze Steam's operations and identify what isn't working.
Yes, there are games that don't work in Proton, and if you plan to launch your own console based on SteamOS, you'll eventually have to address this issue. System crashes are a pretty serious problem, and I doubt most users will bother dealing with them through a forum.

So you want Valve to be more like Microsoft?
I understand that I'm expressing myself too complicatedly. So I'll simplify it: I want Steam to work, and if it doesn't, I want Valve to know about it.
