Steam, to my knowledge, does not have a way to filter forum discussions by people who own the game. Yes, you can open the post and see if they have the mouse icon by their name but that takes an extra layer that impact QOL.

In my experience a large portion of rabble rousers and rage baiters are actually non game owners who have a negative agenda to spout off. Without even owning the game, being able to come into the forums and wreck havoc feels strange that it hasn’t been addressed after all these years.

From my POV, if people want info on the game before buying, look at the store page. If you want to engage in discuss and civil debate about the game, you must own it.

Ideally, Steam would not allow people into the forums (at all) if they didn’t buy the game. It leads to so much pot-stirring and ragebait. So a filter feature to only engage with posts from owners of the game would be nice.
