Playing Multiple Games on the Same Account with Different Devices.
With the steam machine now announced, and the idea of having a steam ecosystem becoming a possibility, wouldn't it make sense to finally allow different games to be played at the same time with the same account. Right now if i want to use my steam deck to play one game, while hypothetically playing another game on my PC. The steam deck would have to be in offline mode or else I will be kicked from the game on the PC. I know this sounds like a stupid problem as I don't know how common gaming while gaming is, but the steam machines shakes that up more. I could have a steam machine hooked up to a TV in the living room having a friend or significant other playing a game while I'm playing on my PC. Maybe just something to consider.

Same reason why when this idea has been brought up with the deck, these devices are pcs, you will be unable to game on one while gaming on the other, that's how it simply works. Go offline with one of the devices.

Dare I say , just start creating a steam account for every game you are gonna buy, if your like me, you don't buy many games.

mean while this would give you the best flexability to play on steam deck , pc, or steam machine.

it is kinda bogus that you can't have a steam account logged in on two computers at the same time, to play two different games on the account at once on two different devices.

It's to prevent people from sharing their Steam accounts, which is against the ToS.

Except that is EXACTLY the scenario they are trying to avoid. If you want to do that the correct way is to create another steam account, and then use the family sharing system to play two games from your library on 2 different machines at once.
