That will not change.
I recently fancied a play through so downloaded an old mod list ,updated it and started, its now broken and cant continue. My point is if i could have waited on the update and installed it when i was ready this wouldn't be an issue.
plus iv'e already purchased all content years ago .so Why force the AE edition on everyone.
1. Do the workaround:
Select "Wait until I launch..." option from Properties in your library. Go to steamapps folder, find appmanifest_[appid] and set it to read-only. Note that you have to do that again each the Steam client updates, but the said option will keep Steam at bay.
2. Ask the devs to make older branches.
The auto updater just broke my with steam downgraded game.
Thanks for nothing, will move to a more user friendly platform in future.
and MODS are a thing and they know it
Forcing gamers in paid mods!
Weak, in that they let social media ruin my game. Or otherwise update the game to one i did not purchase.
I believe updates should soley be to fix bugs. Not alter or change the game i purchased.
Meanwhile, i use this method....if it works if there are no prior versions the developer provides......
