Steam's Game Recording is given me distorted/crunchy/loud audio in the videos
This was my 1st time using the Steam Game Recording feature that came out last year I believe.

The video footage itself is fine but the sound is coming so distorted. I don't even have any extra stuff plugged in, like a microphone. I only have my keyboard, mouse and monitor plugged to the back of my PC.

What could the issue be? My Game Recording settings are the following:

Recording Quality - High

Enable GPU Hardware Encoding - ON

Enable HEVC (H.265) Video Codec - ON

Max frame rate - 60

Max video height - No Limit

Record Microphone - OFF

Record Audio From - Game Audio Only

Thank you

I was writing a similar post before realizing I was in the client beta forum by mistake and then I posted it by mistake. While waiting for mods to remove that, I'll post my related audio issues here to corroborate other audio related issues.

With record microphone on and record audio from being set to all system audio, my voice is barely audible. With automatic gain control enabled, my voice is audible but very distorted/crunchy/loud. I believe that this could be mitigated if the user was allowed to control the volume of their non microphone audio and/or if automatic gain control had a limiter put on it to prevent clipping.
