Can you mention the website? It sounds like a type of scam to me. It would be better if you can post the website on here so we can all see if it is a scam or not.

Using 3rd party sites like that is a risk as it's not supported by steam and always a scam and how you get your account compromised and stolen.

Once you cease changing your name again and again, you should be able to trade again after 4 hours.

name changes come with a 4 hour trade cooldown now.

all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK. you compromise your account, steam will only return the account. any items or money that leave the account are not returned. any bans earned are permanent. take the security of your account more serious. unless you like the idea of your stuff being stolen or your account being one of the many accounts that spam scam and account stealing links on the forums that we see daily.

EDIT:
I should point out that every time support resets your name/avatar, the account gets a cooldown preventing you from making changes to the name/avatar. each time they step in, the cooldown will be longer. 3rd offense is a 1 month cooldown. think about it while you wait for your trade cooldown to expire.

Correct. Someone probably got scammed in the past on the website. Now i expect OP's next post will be "But they are trusted". By who? Your mother? Well can you trust i am god and tell you YOU GOT SCAMMED?

This is what i tell everyone who uses discord, and yes, discord is also a third party site. Otherwise it would be built into steam if it was not. And no, links in games do not count that is is built into steam. That is just the developer putting a link in it.

I don't find Discord so scary. But then I my online days were forged during the Compuserve and Freenode days, so I'm not nearly as gullible as the new frogs are today. With a little vigilance and common sense, anyone can get through life unscathed. Unfortunately, those traits are in short supply these days.

I think the matter has been settled. Now I won't change my nickname for a long time and I'll see if they remove the trading block.

Well tell that to all the people on here who post they been scammed on discord by a steam employee. Seems like it happens more and more. Im not scared of discord, i just find it annoying more than anything. I want less stuff installed on my pc when gaming, not stuff to slow down it. This is why i turn off all overlays except the steam overlay to take screenshots. I even measured my speed on my pc with all the overlays open, including discord. Yes, it does slow down MY pc. Not sure if it does it with everyone's, but that is why i do not like discord.
