Yeah, several people from Steam including myself have put in help tickets to get this issue resolved. But Steam doesn't really seem to care. It looks like they have changed the client app to where demos can no longer be ignored, which means numerous demos you have no interest in will just sit out there. Pages and pages of them that can no longer be ignored. Perhaps Steam is thinking that if we can no longer ignore demos then we might give them a try, which I won't. This has completely changed the way I search the Steam store because I've had to stop searching demos.

I'm using the browser, the client is modded to kill the store so I can't see anything there, not sure about mobile cause I can't debloat it and I only launch the app once in a forever when I have to sign up back on the browser.

They need to add an opt in or opt out option, cause I have no plans to touch any kind of demo and I want them gone from the shop.

What the heck is the point of not allowing us to ignore demos?

On the right side menu you can select the game type. Activate all types without demos.

Can't believe Steam is not allowing us to ignore demos anymore. All this has made me do is give up searching for demos. They seem to have absolutely no interest in addressing this issue either.

Yeah, same here its annoying to even find a new demo that I might be interested in in pile of trash that I am not.

Looks like the only way that the ignore function works anymore to ignore demos is to click BROWSE - DEMOS. The ignore function does not work any longer for any other way you search demos. Of course, clicking BROWSE - DEMOS does not allow your filters to work. So you will see 20,000 plus demos this way and there's no way I'm gonna search through 20,000 plus demos to see which ones I want to ignore. Way to go Steam.

Filed a support ticket about this recently as well. Valve Support seemed to be completely confused as to why I would want to ignore anything on the Store in the first place. I'm beginning to think this is not a bug but an intended change that they just never bothered to mention anywhere in the Steam update notes or announcements section.

Well if they want their store to turn into Amazon 2.0 and force me to not use their service anymore, they are free to ignore our "I don't want to see junk that I don't care about" issue.

As I said in the past, main store page on my side is completely blank, on Steam I CSS edited the crap out of it to ignore all the suggestions, but I'm not browsing through it anymore cause I'm still on W7, can't even run games anymore cause they sneaked something in and I can only legally play hitman 2018 and yarr harr all the others I legally bought

Imagine if Steam eventually decides to entirely eliminate the option to ignore any game, like even non-demos. That would be my last day searching Steam for sure.
