There are a lot of mods that are uncategorized. For example, browsing new mods shows all the mods from different languages, some of them are translations, some of them are not. Most users do not bother tagging their mods so the workshop ends up looking like a hodgepodge of functional mods, translations and functional mods in non-English language, for the average person it will be time-consuming and confusing to skim through all of that.

In Nexusmods people can vote tags on mods that helps them be sorted for easier browsing to find what they're looking for much faster, it seems practical and would be useful to have on all workshops.
