Anyone else got targeted by this weird scam attempt

Okay so some time ago I made a review for Intravenous 2, a game I genuinely love a lot. Some guy posted a message like "hey can you add me I have some questions about the series" and I was like "sure, okay". He didn't message me at first, so I just carried on, then sometime later when I was playing another game he started spamming me with messages and requests for a voice call. I was just like "wow this guy really wants to talk about Intravenous huh" and then he straight up started hitting me with this: he claimed that he "accidentally" reported my account for some sort of scam SUPPOSEDLY using my account then started apologizing a lot while claiming that this can't be undone easily and my account will be permanently deleted. Of course all of this caught me off guard, so thank god that I did a quick google search to check what the ♥♥♥♥ he's talking about. Google immediately told me that if anyone is telling you something like this then it's an attempt to steal your account so I proceeded to basically tell him to go ♥♥♥♥ himself. First he was confused, then when I kept giving him ♥♥♥♥ he went offline. Soon after I couldn't find any trace of his account and the messages he sent me.
Did anything like this happen to someone here before?

It happens every day, all the time.
The difference being here that you had the smarts to investigate the situation before doing anything and rightfully told them to go ♥♥♥♥ themselves.
