That's correct. RTX 30, 40 and 50 series users began experiencing stuttering and instability after that driver.
even though I went back to my previous driver, 572.16, and the stuttering and fps drops are still there. Resident Evil 4 looks like a powerpoint at this point.
Microsoft kinda doing the same thing. Look at their latest update this month. IT makes BSOD and people who have bitlocker installed causes it. There breaking windows 10 os on purpose.
I am on the 572.70. But no issues
Quite frankly, I may still update my current machine to 11 when 10 is phased out, but have 11 shelved 99% of the time while I run linux instead (just like what I've done to 10 right now). Previous machine will keep 10, but for legacy purposes as it would run linux for anything warranting up-to-date software, like using the internet.
I can recommend using 566.36 as it last known stable driver before repeat issue after issue in later updates that issue suddenly appears, not everyone same, but issue appears at some point for unknow issues. Now normally don't need to update video drives as often unless trying to play new game that release that need later said version of driver to fix any issues.
Now can try doing DDU then install the latest see if issue gone, if none, can use older driver that you know that works.
Support and features gained by upgrading to 552.44 / 556.12 from 537.58 include:
WDDM 3.2 support in 555.41 or later
Shader Model 6.8 support in 555.41 or later
RTX Video HDR available on all RTX GPUS in 551.23 and above
CUDA 12.4 is supported in 551.23 and above
NVIDIA Ultra Low Latency Mode is supported with DirectX 12 titles in 551.23 and above
WDDM 3.0 (Windows 11) feature 'Hardware Flip Queues' support added in 545.84
RTX Video Super Resolution available on all RTX GPUS in 545.84 and above
DirectX 12 Agility SDK 1.711.3 supported in 545.84 and above
Depending on games you play and the features you want.
I'd say stay on 566.36 if you playing 2024+ titles.
If you need DLSS 4 you need to install 572.16 + versions.
And don't install nvidia app.
P.S.
Oh nice necro btw, didn't pay attention on the date. But the info above still actual.
I used 576.52 for a long time, until the Battlefield demo came out and I had to update the drivers to 580.88. Luckily, it works fine for now. Thanks for the info, bro.
You don't need to stay on last year driver for some months now because they mostly solve the issues. FYI GTX 7xx, 9xx, and 10xx been dropped at 580 version if you happen be using those GPUs then your last stable gpu driver is 580.
Bro currently im on latest nvidia driver for the same 3060 12gb im facing flicker issue in fc6 and ac creed valhalla which I was not facing earlier
